Internationally, Dr. Pai served as Trustee of FIGO (International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics) for Asia-Oceania (2023-25) and has been a key contributor to global women’s health initiatives supported by the Gates Foundation, UNFPA, and UNICEF. He has also led FIGO’s projects such as LDI-REACH and AMPLI-PPHI, promoting innovation, equity, and respectful maternity care.
Former President of FOGSI (2023), ISAR, and IAGE, Dr. Pai has made landmark contributions to the field of assisted reproduction in India. He has authored over 100 scientific papers, edited 60 books, and delivered 50 orations and more than 700 lectures worldwide. He has also been on Board of Directors of IFFS International Federation of Fertility Societies for 9-years.
His numerous accolades include 70+ awards, notably the FRCOG Fellowship ad eundem from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, UK. As Consultant at Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai, and Fortis Hospitals, Delhi & Mohali, Dr. Pai continues to advance fertility medicine through clinical excellence, education, and compassionate patient care.
