38 to 40 Many clinics aim for 15 to 20 eggs across one or two cycles, since a larger share won’t fertilize or reach blastocyst.
Over 40 Even 20 or more retrieved eggs may only yield one or two normal embryos, which is why poor ovarian reserve gets evaluated early rather than after a failed cycle.
